Default Schroth Porsche GT3 Belts

In anticipation of my GT3-RS being here in 2 weeks, I ordered the GMG roll cage and now I am trying to get some feedback on the restraint system.

I am looking at the Schroth and the following is cut from their webpage. Is this the way to go or are there some other options to consider? As I understand this is a direct bolt in so I dont have to drill holes or add bolts.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Porsche GT3 Belts

Porsche GT3 Cup Cars come with Schroth belts direct from the factory. If you need to replace them because of an accident, or if you’re putting the factory GT3 seat setup into another car, you’ll want these belts.

They are specific because of the lap belt attachment. They have a sewn-in bracket that fits perfectly on the factory mount. Standard belts require additional fabrication and a spacer to make them work. These are a bolt-in replacement – much easier. The sub-straps have no adjusters to fit correctly in the vehicle, and the shoulder belts are shorter to reach the works cages with minimal excess.

They are available with Standard 3” shoulders or HANS specific 2”/3” in the colors shown below. Available with Pull-Down lap belts only.

Silver belts are on back order from Germany.

Supplied Hardware
Cam Lock Fixed Point
Anti-Sub Strap
End Fittings
Shoulder: LV7 (3" Shoulders) or LV10 (HANS Specific 2"/3" Shoulders)
Lap: Sewn-in B43A (GT3 Specific Hardware)
Subs: LV11 with B14 Snap-in Bracket Wrapped-in
Extra Hardware
1 SG23 7/16" Eyebolt
1 S3 Wavy Washer

The belts for the Gt3 are regular profil II 6point belts but with porsche specific hardware for easier fittment.
You can order them from Porsche dealer with PET number or directly from Schroth.
Make sure to order the ASM version as its a lot safer and can be worn as a four point belt if you order it with lap lock instead of sub lock. Unless you are going to use a Hans then you should order the 2inch shoulder hans model.

if you are not wearing HANS. stop now, GET ONE.
if you are wearing HANS, get HANS specific harness. the 3" one will work, but the optimal one is 2"

there really is no need for porsche specific belts. really just nonsense. i can hook any harness on my bucket seats. it all depends on your shop and fabricator. if they can't figure it out, i would not trust my life safety system to their installation.

The ROW 2010 GT3 has 2 threaded holes in the floor under the front of the passenger seat. The sub belts of the harness bolt right in and the Schroth harnesses even include the necessary bolts.

Don't the US cars have these threaded holes ?

I have the same harness in my 2010 GT3, I have Spraco Evo 2 seats, I'm not sure on the mounting because i had the belts & seats installed @ local speedshop but the belts are great, super easy to get in and out of and to adjust. - jte

No. Haven't you heard? We only use our cars for Starbuck's runs in the U.S.
