Clear bras can and should be waxed. Polishing and/or buffing can also be done; at least on some products like 3M. Plus, a 10 year old car will look far, far better than one unprotected. There really is no reason a well attended film couldn't last 10 years.

Don't know that getting your money back is the only issue.

Yes. We have a very good installer in NY named Doug at Executive Paint Protection. He does installations in our Standard or Premium film. 914-806-0585.

Forgot to reply about that part. Yes, I agree completely. Polishing depends on the film. Some can be buffed no problem, some cannot. Know your film! Ours and 3M can be buffed, Venture cannot, no data yet on the newest Avery and Llumar films.

The only thing I would add on the wax thing is to be careful what you use. Avoid waxes that contain petroleum distillates such as kerosene or naptha. They can be problematic for polyurethane films and can cause discoloration over time. I would recommend something more neutral like Zymol or Swissvax. They are both all natural and contain nothing that would harm the film. Otherwise, use a purpose made product such as our paint protection film sealant.

Too funny! Pretty soon you'll all be plastic wrapping the plastic wrap.

many ppl have vinyl over clear bar, or vice versa.
some have 2 or 3 layers of clr film around wheel arches and sill area.
hey, if one layer is good, three MUST be better.

Main differences are texture (orange peel), flexibility, and size. Zero orange peel on our Premium film, highly flexible to allow for more seamless installation, and widths up to 60 inches so that we can cover full hoods in one piece.

We have quite a few installers there. PM me your zip and I will get you a list of the closest?

Theoretically they can remove just one layer once it looks damaged.

It is not nearly as strong or thick as the clear bra I have on my windshield, mirrors, headlights and rear wing, but it seems strong enough. Only did 3 days on track, no damage yet from lots of bugs and rubber marks. Used Racer Eraser and rubbing alcohol and regular car was and all came off. If you like the look of another unique color it is a fun option to go vinyl.

The new RS does not need to be as well protected as the slower cars as you spend much less time behind other cars ;-).

I prefer the reassurance of wearing a bra....makes me feel more confident

Picked up this last week and had total clear bra install. Only area not done is the rear bumper and engine cover.
