Default White 2010 RS available

My sales guy called me that he had a slightly used (80something miles) RS available at MRSP that he's selling as a favor to one of his best clients. If anyone is interested, send me a PM and I'll forward my sales person's cell ph. Since I can't justify turning in my current car and getting this one, I told him I would see if I could find someone. I'm not, nor do I know the actual owner of the car.

Car had the following options:
490 Sound Package Plus 700.00
CFX Floor Mats With Colored Trim 455.00
619 Bluetooth Phone Interface 695.00
639 Sport Chrono Package W/Out PCM 690.00
870 Universal Audio Interface 95.00
XFG Instrument dials in Guards Red 860.00
XXZ Foot Rest Aluminum 250.00
X69 Carbon Door Sill Modl Insignia 780.00
XMJ Rear Center Console - Carbon 1,625.00
25851 Seat Stitching Deviating Color 630.00
CGG Sport Chrono Timer Guards Red 500.00
Total Order $ 142,330.00

Here is another one that is available (original customer who ordered the car apparently just backed out). En route to Sonnen Porsche, in Mill Valley (California). If interested, call Jeff at 415-381-7823. No affiliation, yada, yada . . . just trying to help out a fellow Rennlister.

Wow, this is so different then w the RS v1. I would love to take one of these nice low option ones, who wants a 24K mile RS that was used mostly as a weekend driver for $120K ??

Economy must be really bad, as the RS is well worth the MSRP. Too bad I don't need (but want) a spare.

2 weeks ago, I posted the question whether to go loaded or stripped on the car I ordered. Seems like there are several cars in dealer inventory that are loaded and several have posted that they ordered loaded cars, too. Just saw a customer car awaiting delivery with $30k of options. Is the RS2 appealing to a different buyer than the '07 RS?

^ Possibly, but I found that my 'stripper' Gen. 1 GT3 was lacking some of the things that I realized were important to me, so I corrected that the second time around. Depends whether the use will be primarily track, or street. Yes, some will never see a track and as much as that irritates the track junkies; it is still a (relatively) free country.

I for one think PCM is invaluable for navigating around the more complex tracks ...

I got such a kick out of glancing at the iDrive nav on my 535ix Sport Wagon as I cruised towards Schwedencruz on the Nordschleife last year! ... watching the little arrow follow the track!

and who doesn't need a good cupholder to secure those beverages in the tight turns!

Are there any grey/red cars around? Seems like a lot of the white ones are sitting idle. Theres one up here in my neck of the woods as well. Highly optioned car at a msrp of around 160k I believe. Sitting with no takers. Original order backed out.

That's only because you have a tendency to lose sight of the racing surface because it's no longer under the wheels of the car ...

It is getting lonely out there. Hard to keep up pace without orange mist...
