I was in auto mode with Sport Plus engaged. Even though I very much love my PDK C4S (385HP), I do not see it holding against a 500HP car
Agreed. The PDK car should have had the hole shot (even rolling at 5mph without launch control) and a quicker 1st-2nd shift taking advantage of the lag and weight of the Turbo. After the first 60 feet, the Turbo should have started to exert the power and torque delta.

That said, I would not want to be in a Turbo or a GT3 and try to get away from a PDK S or 4S on the track.

Hey I dont know much about the TT. The TT owner was the one driving my car.
The hole shot was definitely had by the PDK. The only thing I see wrong with this
is the driver of the TT might not have been the best in a car that wasnt his.
The TT OWNER certainly didnt have any trouble driving mine however.

Adam this is not the first time I have heard a PDK C2S doing well against a 996TT.
THIS TT had the GIAC flash, so maybe its not REALLY 500hp?
what would you expect a stock 996 TT would do against a C2S PDK

Yenemocha that was tongue in cheek quote from another post in this forum.
I didnt expect you to understand. You can go back to your mocha now.
Geesh if you dont know what is going on try not to comment, huh?
Please tell me you guys have better things to do than trolling other forums
trying to cause problems! A perfect example of why I stay over here mostly.

Thanks Jenk!

Now now people this isn't 6 Speed Online.

Enough of the Shenanigans - this crap isn't about proving what or whom is right or wrong. It's stuff like this why I don't visit 6Speed more often. We tend to be more civilized in these parts.

I believe that Andreas Preuninger (Mgr of the GTx programme @ Porsche) had previously been quoted (at the GT3.2 launch) that the GT2/3 would not receive PDK for the forseeable future ...

Long may that be the case, at least optionally ... while I am sure PDK is great, I dont want one forced on me in my (next) GT3 ... I dont mind if others that do have the option too ...

Last Paragraph: like what Ferrari has done with forcing their flipper-flapper tranny on their customers?

I predict a manual tranny will be available again, but as a 20K option, before too long.

Why? 'Ring times say GT3 is significantly faster.

I dont think that Porsche will go Ferrari's route and eliminate 6 speeds. But they should offer
a optional PDK. There are TOO many people in the GT3 and track worlds that want the PDK.
One of our own track people does not have a left leg. People like me who get older and start
suffering physically. People who want to drive their GT3 to the track go on the track and back again.
Think about it. Most the people who can afford GT3s are old crotchety and ugly like me.

I agree that the 6 speed should NEVER LEAVE the option list but I also thing the PDK is COMING to the option list.

At the hands of a professional driver, yes. At our skill level, we cannot shift that fast, and we have to execute perfect heel and toe downshifts every time.

We have day jobs for a reason

Question is will Porsche offer a performance PDK with shorter ratios?

Also wondering what the theoretical output it can take? Does anyone know if anyone has tried to push more than 600 BHP through the Turbo's PDK yet?

Also these bad boys are only a year old, with the non-turbo's 2009. Wondering what the damage will be when it comes time to replace the clutche(S)? And that is plural cough cough!!!

Tacet great questions. I love the different ratio idea.

Dont you think Porsche would have thought about the Mod people and made
the PDK beefier? Probably it should take 700hp
