Both with Sport Chrono; if I knew better I would swear these were Turbos.

Can someone remind me what is the reason to have Sport Chrono, other than income/profit, on these cars? First person who answers me this can have either my DFI Paper Weight or my turbo build slot!

on non GT3, pdk cars, the THIRD EYE package has more tq or was it hp. it does has some real performance benefit. why it is package with THIRD EYE, i have no idea. for GTx cars, there is on reason why you need it. main reason may be that you can use it to time your lap time, losing concentration, crash it so you get to buy another and pad porsche profit. i swear this is true.

so what did i win again?
not the miniature THIRD EYE i hope.

are these EXTRA pool car AGAIN?

to many of us, these are special cars. and part of the allure is to be able to order it the way you want, if you want stripped like mine or loaded up with all the good stuff, it's YOURS.

why are these cars spec'd out already?

b/c they get higher margin on options.... huh?
i have NEVER seen an inventory car with zero option.... geezus, why is that....

i guess i am getting very what's that word.... jaded???

pogue is ALWAYS right.
i need to mature a few more years then i will learn to listen to him and stop screwing around.

btw, pogue, come down to BW with me and adam.
This pisses me off too ... I had a deposit for an RS @ MSRP with Robb @ SC for over a year with never a call ... so I finally give in and get the Mexico Blue car, then 2 weeks later he calls me to tell me they have not one but 2 RS'es
being built "as well speak" .... WTF?

You should become a Porsche Dealership Alex ... in a single swipe you would steal all of the Bay Area's RLers from the other dealers ...

This is exactly the reason why I had my Porsche Turbo configured at the LA Auto Show and not at the local dealer. Though I will not knock the local boys totally because I have some report with a few of the salesmen.

I did a post with my LA Auto Show experience; let me know if you wish to see it and I will dig it out.

Given the demand among driving enthusiasts, the irony is that I bet a dealer
could command a hefty premium on a lightweight base spec with minimal
options, or better yet an open spec. It shows that most dealers do not really
understand the more focused enthusiast market (i.e., those who frequent this
forum) who are interested primarily in the driving experience, not superfluous
swag attached to our cars.

Holy Mackerel ! : )

You're in a fine mood Larry!

A douche? Just exactly what are you doing when you meet a Porsche dealer?

Your "new car experience" is quite unlike anything I've encountered!

apparently the cars were not specced by P of SC ... so cant blame them ...

wouldn't it be a wonderful world if someone from PNCA marketing actually hung out on this list occasionally to hear from an active community around 10% of his NA market ...

sigh ...

Of course I was asking a rhetorical question...!

We all know they dash-worts are useless on anything but a Turbo.

I called a local dealer today, after I heard they were getting a RS in (I just wanted to look at it).
The sales mgr. cut me off (on the phone) and said "if you are looking for a track car, this ain't it...it has Nav, etc."
I couldn't believe he was trying NOT to sell me the car before I could get into the call.
If I owned the place, he would not come close to my clients!

p.s. ANOTHER LOADED RS on the way!
