The latest is that the 998, which is really a 997.3 (restyled 997), will be out late next year as a 2012 model. Next gen GT3 would be 1-2 years later. Current gen Turbo will run through 2012. A revised Trubo should also be along 1-2 years later.

Bottom line is if your decision to not buy one now is to instead wait for a 998 GT3, you will be waiting for quite a while...at least 3 years.

Although I'm more than willing to live with the none Metz GT1 engine, I will more than likely be waiting for the next gen 911 for my first Turbo.
