Default Help - wide body fenders for GT3 RS

Hi folks,

I'm considering a GMG wide body kit and wanted inputs from guys who have used it.

How much different will the cars handling characteristics change w/ this kit? It widens it by over 1 inch on each side at the front.

Will it make it understeer less and more twitchy and prone to oversteer?

It's a toss up between the E88's and Champions that are being offered now through RL.com

Thanks again guys!

I saw somebody selling one recently -- maybe in the classifieds here.

You wouldn't buy it for handling, it's pretty much entirely a cosmetic change unless you went whole hog with the car to lighten it and redo the suspension front and rear.

If the objective is solely to improve the front end control of a late 911, I'd be looking for all the pieces of the new RS suspension.

does the new RS have a different suspension than the 10GT3?

Quite different. Well worth reading about the level of effort invested in moving weight "geometrically" (?) forward. The wider front and rear track alone do not account for or explain how the new RS handles.

Just search for "Preuninger" and there's a lot of good references and links.

Excellent thread (from link) CarreraGT. One day I'll get myself a Mk 2 RS. One day. But as for now, I can't utilize even 75% of my Mk 1's potential so hard to justify needing something more. But alas, human nature right? More is always better?
