Default Monticello Motor Club Full Track Video

Here is a video of me driving the full track at Monticello.
The video is from a Radical SR3-RS. I will post a video of
the same track in the Porsche GT3-RS later this week.

Hey, Thanks for posting. When you post the other car, could you post your full lap?

I cannot tell from the video, but did they change the tight s turns at the end of the back straight? I thought I heard rumblings out there that the original settup was quite dangerous (as a car that goes off course could run into another car after the last right hander in the complex of turns)

I was at Monticello only once so far, but will be returning there twice this year. I would be interested to see your full lap.

I will do post the full lap on the '10 porsche gt3 rs.

The turn u are talking about is called "Kryptos" - its the second to last
turn that leads onto the final turn that leads to the front straight. It is
an off camber turn. To do it right, you have to stay at the very edge
of the road (let the camber take u to the right), lift off before the crest
and punch down on the gas pedal.

I know Kryptos well - if u lift off at or after the crest (change in camber)
the back end will fall out. Happened to me last year and I crashed an e-class boxster cup car.

Wow, looks like a fun high-speed layout! Thanks for positng.

Is this a members-only track, or will clubs like NASA/PCA/BMWCCA have the opportunity to rent it for a weekend?

Don't know but here is how much a National membership cost .. about $250 per event but you have to pay the $50K initiation fee

Now, sell your GT3 RS and pay the $125K initation fee, you too can enjoy year round track use in your minivan lol

I met the owner of the track at PSDS. He indicated that the cost of a membership if you live in the area is 125K and they are cosidering raising it to 150K this summer....If you do not live in the area it will cost you 40k and that gives you about 10 track days/yr...Garage and mechanic are on site but for a fee....the track looks very nice BTW.

Just have to watch out for the local police. I have friends that live in the area and heard that they handed out something like 50 tickets in one day for doing over 100 in a 45 to drivers leaving the racetrack. Of course, who's really to blame after you took care of your need for speed on the track!
