Anyone know if the GT3 RS.2 rear sway bar is the same as the 997 GT2 rear sway? I wonder if they are the same part #....anyone check yet?
Before I purchase the GT2 rear sway for an upgrade to my RS.1, I wanted to see if the RS.2 has a different rear sway and should wait for that part to become available.
Thanks in advance!

Fitted the GT2 rear sway bar to my 997.1 RS. It has a different number, and is meant to be stiffer than the standard fit one. Previous owner of my car had the GT2 bar but didn't have it fitted. Was a straight swap.

Thanks. I actually just spoke to Sunset Porsche and Jeff Clark (who's always really helpful) looked up the part numbers for the RS.2 rear sway and it was the same as the GT2 rear sway. So that's ordered! Interestingly though the bushings for the RS.2 are a different part number than the GT2 bushings so I ordered the RS.2 ones. I don't know what the difference is and wouldn't expect much, but what the heck.

Best suspension upgrade before you go all out with custom springs/shocks/bushings/links/etc.
I had them in my RS and they cured the heavy understeer. I was able to run slicks without hitting the bump stops. Front bar is 50% stiffer than stock, and rear bar 80% stiffer than stock, I ran them in the middle with MPSC, full stiff rear/full stiff front on slicks for track, one from stiff front and full stiff rear on A6 for AutoX.
The car gains 4 lbs.

I had a long conversation with my local Porsche dealer regarding .1RS sway bars. They were adamant that .1RS bars are the same as that on the GT2, down to the part number. Here's the lowdown according to Porsche HK:
.1GT3 < .1RS (thinner)
.1RS = 997GT2 (bar only, not bushings)
997GT2 = .2RS (ditto)
Now I've always been skeptical about the local dealer's knowlege since it's a monopoly over here and they're not incentivized to do take any risks. Can anybody with access to the full PET please confirm?

The original rear sway bar in the 997.1 GT3 and GT3 RS (same bar) was superseded by the 997 GT2 rear bar in the 2008 PET.
Here are the part#
Front:
997.343.701.91 (27mm) 997.1 GT3 and 997.1 GT3 RS
997.343.701.95 (27.5mm) 997.2 GT3 has yet to confirm for the 997.2 GT3 RS (got this for my Cayman S today)
Rear:
997.333.701.02 (24mm) 997.1 GT3 and GT3 RS, tremendous horrible understeer, caused fancy owners of the 997 GT3 RS to be blown by older 996 GT3 at every racetrack
997.333.701.94 (25.5mm) 997 GT2. This bar supersedes the previous rear bar, it fixes the understeer problem, and allows talented 997 GT3 RS owners to keep up with a 996 GT3 at a racetrack
997.333.701.96 (25.5mm) 997.2 GT3 bar

Do you have intel on the bushings too?. I have the RS.1 and just ordered the GT2 rear sway but with the bushings from the RS.2...the bushings are cheap so I should probably order the GT2 bushings as well just to be safe.

What about untalented owners?!
Anyway, do you happen to have the p/n for the 997.2 GT3 RS sways?
