Default Endless RF650 brake fluid review

A few months back I read that Porsche was using Endless RF650 brake fluid on their racecars. Further research uncovered that Endless also supplies the Brawn F1 team. Out of curiosity, I bought a few bottles to try out.

I was previously using the Motul RBF600 and never had any problems or overheating issues. I was very happy with the fluid. The only thing I didn't like was how the pedal would gain more travel when the fluid was hot.

To be more specific, at the beginning of a track day, the pedal would sit high and have a firm feel. After a few hard sessions, the pedal would sink a bit, but the pedal would still be firm. This increase in pedal travel is above and beyond the normal GT3 pedal change after the very first track day.

The overall braking power and feel would be the same, just that the bite point would now be lower. Once the fluid had time to cool, the pedal would again return back to its normal position. ie, on the drive home, the pedal would return to normal.

With the Endless fluid, the feel is the same, there were no issues with overheating fluid. The only real difference I noticed was that the pedal bite point no longer changed. The difference was so pronounced that I found myself spiking the brakes because I was used to having more travel on the track.

You can't go wrong with either fluid, but I found the Endless to be more consistent across the temperature range. I recommend you give it a try and report back your findings.

Thanks for the review, I've wondered about the fluid myself. Same with their brakepads, but nobody seems to use them here. I liked Motul, but after SRF i've not gone back. Rarely bleed the brakes anymore and fluid lasts almost a year. With Motul I had to bleed before every event, so at the end it wasn't any cheaper then the liquid gold (SRF).

I tried the Endless N03W compound pads, they are excellent pads, they lasted about the same as the pagids p29's, but I think modulation was much easier with the endless, now I'm back to Pagids since at the moment I needed replacements they were out of stock, this thread makes me remember to place the order for a new set of Pads to be ready when the time comes (maybe this time I'll try the N35S).
I highly recommend Endless to anyone, I will try the RF650 now.

I just filled up with the RF650 too. Haven't tried it on the track yet, but very nice pedal feel so far on the street. Thanks for the post.

I looked at the Endless product a while ago, and I think the boiling stats could not match SRF.

I read several reviews from folks who have tried both Endless and SRF and they preferred Endless. I think its advantage comes from the fact that it absorbs water much more slowly than SRF, making its Dry boiling point the more relevant number (than Wet) for a longer period than SRF.

Here are the Dry/Wet specs of the two (which must be considered in the context of what I mentioned above):

Castrol SRF: 310°C/590°F dry and 270°C/518°F wet.
Endless RF-650: 323°C/613°F dry and 218°C/424°F wet.

Srf - after using it... I have no reason to try anything different... Unless it is cheaper and performs the same

Endless fluid costs a little more than SRF, but I have read that it is less hygroscopic so you should be able to run it longer.

I don't think you can go wrong with either...

I have used Endless RF-650 fluid in my 6GT3 for two track seasons running multiple events and prefer this fluid over SRF. Very consistent, never once overheated or boiled the fluid and the pedal is rock hard from start to finish session after session. I flush at the beginning of the year, and bleed at all four corners after each event while checking over the suspension and brakes to prepare for the next event. Never once had to bleed at the track and I primarily run Road America which is very hard on the binders.

GMG Racing offers Endless pads and fluid and is the place I have always purchased it from.
