Default How long must this agony last??? ETA from germany?

ugh.
unbearable.

my RS is on track and just rolled off the line today. Today was final production date and its cleared that hurdle.

So my question, how long do you think it might be till i see her over here in the good ole' USA?? assuming she makes the next boat?

im ready to fly over and haul her back. if luggage is like $25.00 per on Jet Blue, 2, 300 bucks and we sneak her into the oversized compartment.

im losing it.

congratulations! mine and jochen's will be rolling down the assembly line in 4 weeks!

Waits are unbearable. Makes that first drive even more enjoyable though.

The lag from the day it starts rusting in Germany to the day it starts rusting in any destination country is mostly a factor of getting on a ship, then that ship departing. Some go on a boat and it leaves within a day or two, otherwise, the boats seem to sail about every week or so. I think six weeks to when you start depreciating the car is a fair ETA. : )

You can occupy yourself during this time getting wheels and tires, spare brake pads, wheel wrench and torque wrench, a box to carry stuff in the front trunk. Maybe you'll want shell seats, harnesses, new HANS helmet and collar, roll bar, data acq, video, numbers, someone to do paint protection, update your AAA to make it cheap to tow home if you get a flat on sticky track tires ... lots of things to occupy yourself!

Best of all would be to go to PSDS and sharpen the sword, then you'll have something to practice and refine once you're in the car. : )

precise-a-mundo.
ive got all the safety gear external to the gar. going to put a 4pt and harnesses in the car. not going to go full tilt because any time im going to do a committed day of tracking, or racing, its going to be a boxster S i built up for the Fclass with Rick Deman, or my 997 Cup. this is really just a "cross trainer"<<GG>>. but i couldnt stomach bieng on a track where "im only going to 7/10ths in this thing " can quickly get up to 10/10ths real fast ina machine built for 10/10ths.
for that reason, gotta have a harness, cage, the other stuff.

i wonder what the operating expenses will be compared to my Cup. gotta be just about the same i'd imagine?

Compared to a Cup? The new RS is going to be free. You might even make money! : )
Getting back in that underpowered old Cup might not be so thrilling after the RS ...

I see you've updated your avatar. Excellent. Did you buy Jochen's 993?
