Default LEASE PROVIDERS -- 2010 RS

It seems that Porsche Financial, in their infinite wisdom, have concluded that they will not provide a lease product for the RS, at least in California. Their explanation is that the car is a poor risk and they "would not want it" because it will be driven on the track. I think Porsche AG would be interested to hear of PCNA having such a dim view of their product. Of course the irony being that the RS will likely lose less value than any other Porsche over the course of a given lease. So it goes -- it's not a matter of reason, it's a matter of "policy" and I think the policy for Porsche Financial is to offer a wildly inflated finance product rather than a competitive lease product.

In any case, I'd like to lease the RS. I was approved by Porsche for "finance" (aka highway robbery) but I'd rather not. If anyone has found a lease provider offering a product for the RS, please advise. I will be applying through the likes of leasecompare.com, but I'd like other irons in the fire to get a decent solution.

Thanks!

Mooty and Peter,

When you say BoA at 3.9 you are talking about Financing right, not leasing?

Yes, I did not look at leasing, straight financing.

I don't know but I think PorscheAG is approaching the whole leae idea on the RS very conservatively. I agree whole heartedly with themn but at the same time they will lose sales (leases) because of it. Know by that same token that doesn't mean you won't find a financial institution from issuing such instruments if the price is right and the driving record is retively clean!

What aprs are we looking at for these carsn and mileage per annum?

To clarify, I have PFS offering finance. It's about 3.9%. BofA didn't like the idea.

Thanks for the two pointers to lease providers. I'll try them both.

As for for Porsche being "conservative" on leasing, it's utter nonsense to connect the financial product with the vehicle beyond its actuarial tables of risk and depreciation. And this is Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) and Porsche Financial Services -- in the USA, not in Germany. I expect that Porsche AG will not be impressed to find PCNA passing judgement that the RS is an unwanted liability.
