Just like question states. Has anyone done the model year 2010/2011 Centerlock conversion to a model year 2007/2008 GT3?
Anything is doable but is it too much parts and labor to do?
GMG, Sharkwerks, or anyone else care to chime in?
TIA,
John

Hey Mooty,
local NORCAL boy from Sac here.
just looking into it because when i finally find the right RS, i just like the look of some of the centerlocks becoming available for the MY 10/11 GT3/RS.
such as the GMG WC-GT wheel and the suppose to be new BBS centerlock single and multipiece.
didnt know it was that much of a hassle for the street CL.
cup car CL sounds like a plan....how much approximately for the conversion?
thanx Mooty for the insight.

not worth bothering with.
if you really want to bother converting for fun sake, convert to 997 CUP centerlocks and run 997 BBS cup wheels on your GT3.
now thats the business!

i agree with tom.
if you track A LOT, cup CL can be taken on/off much faster than street CL (not as nice looking of course, no center cap). the street CL has more than just the "nut" and the "cap" or nut whatever you call it, is nicely finished so you can just be rough with it like you do on cup cars.
and if you use it as a street car mainly, your local tire guy will go crazy dealing with it. you also need new and BIG tq wrench for it. if you just want the look, there are wheels that use 5 bolt but look like center lock (BBS in fact makes these).
however, these are my HIGHLY biased opinions, feel free to ignore it.
