Universal audio interface was only $95 to begin with and does not charge the iPod nor allowed it to be controlled via PCM. It is not a USB port. You still must upgrade to iPod for $345 and add Nav as per the attached doc. In the states Blue-tooth and audio interface are /were stand-alone options. The up-charge for iPod/USB with PCM was $440, now it's $345, which reflects the new standard interface option. Not sure if you are aware of that.

So, Porsche is basically offering three options valued at approximately $935 (total) as standard. I'm sure the base MSRP will adjust accordingly and likely a bit beyond that. If they do not adjust MSRP the savings would be the aformentioned $935 tops.

That great for some GT3 buyers who want to spec a car.

Geez... Artic Silver is being replaced!!!

And, OT but holy shiete, the 918 Spyder!

I have secured my self a GT3 RS...
they told me that mine is may build, so I thought its 2010 model. However I got confirmation that it's goiing to be 2011 model.
The BIG SURPRISE is that the agent said that they have one 100% confirmed slot for a GT2 RS 2011 model.. and believe it or not.. it has a July 2010 production!

This info has made my month! Thanks so much for Rennlist. Now to find an allocation -- I called 3 dealers this AM and no one seems to know about this, but I am hopeful. Gt silver has always been my first choice, but the new platinum silver may look great as well -- thoughts / comparisons? It has been a long, long winter here in IA.....fun is just around the corner!

I love this forum. I sent my dealer the document and they are baffled at how I got it before they did. They are trying to confirm the option/standard equipment list and also see if there is a price hike on the '11 models.

They are Bluetooth Hands-free Phone Interface (619), Floor Mats (810), and Universal Audio Interface (870).
Thanks for posting!

Damn, I feel cheated! 3 out of 5 options I had to pay for are now free!
;-) I'll survive the trauma..

Thanks for the great info.

I noticed that (in page 2) the MY11 GT3/GT3RS has a 3 years rust protection warranty, while the MY11 Carrera has 12 years.

Is it new this year, or was it like that in MY10? Does anyone know the reason behind the shorter warranty on the GT3/GT3RS?

Thanks for any insights.

Regards,

Look inside your wheel well and you'll see why. GT3s don't have the spray-on rust protection stuff that normal cars have. It's all exposed metal.

There's no stone guard along the rockers either. An attempt to keep the weight low I suppose.

That's gonna put the bubble wrappers over the edge. Now they really can't drive their cars.
