Thanks for this post...neat info.

I see that Carrera PDK cars will now get a center (3rd) radiator. I guess Porsche gave in....but they 1st claimed that PDK does not run hot and has zero heat issues, now they add the center radiator. I have heard of PDK overheating in hot stop and go traffic although I have not had this issue.

I saw that too. Would love to know what the deal is there? Anybody have the inside scoop? And is the radiator for engine, or allow for a PDK cooler????

And it is Carrera S PDK only?

Interesting that the center radiator was previously included on the '09/'10 Cayman/Boxsters. Porsche probably thought that with the engine behind the tranny in the 911 the airflow would be enough to cool the PDK tranny.

Has anybody gotten or heard of a legitimate RS allocation after June? If they are switching to 2011 series production in May, then May and June might be the only 2011 RS's produced...

I'm hoping they get the new style steering wheel for May build cars. Not as clunky looking as the current wheel.

My dealer concurs - MSRP will be adjusted for "N/C options".

Be careful what you wish for. All the cars getting the PDK are using the new direct injected and integrated dry sump engine. This is the same engine used in the 09 Carrera and 2010 997 TT. The 997 GT3.2 could be the last of the split case/ true dry sump engines.

My 2010 is not even produced yet and the 2011s are coming out soon, so when I get the car it will be already 1 year old. Didn't order bluetooth or audio input, so didn't lose any money there.

You can get the GT2 RS in +/- August...

I did get the 3 free options, but I think the MSRP might increase with the same price, so no biggie.
The fact that they are calling them 2011 just makes me think that this is just the last smaller run of the GT1 engine cars before they switch completely over for the next model (998?) with direct injection, PDK option, new engine only cars.
I doubt they will still bring the Gt1 back in 3-4 years for the next GT3's.

I bet you a buck it is ROW only, NOT US. Like the ducktail 911. GT2 market in US is not worth offering it here, not enough buyer$. Will be glad to be wrong, however...
