Default I get to drive the RS on Monday morning...

What are you up to on Monday morning? Heading off to the office? Well I am going to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone to spend a few hours playing around the 997.2RS whilst I wait for the delivery of my car in May.

I can think of worse ways to spend a Monday morning...

Ok, so you already know you need to bring your vbox and camera, measure lap times from the Porsche factory drivers around Silverstone and compare that to your 997.1 GT3 lap times at the same place. Hopefully, it doesn't rain.

You nearly had me there. The best PCNA ever did was invite us to Leipzig to show us the CGT, since my father ordered one. Everywhere else, (ie: Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, etc.), there are always VIP events, half day driving schools and many more - all free for loyal customers. PCNA/the US can really do better for those with GT3s, GT2s, Turbos, etc.

I will certainly be taking my camera along and i'll try to get some video as well. I have not driven the 997.2 GT3 but I will be comparing to my .1 although I haven't driven it in a few months... Hopefully it will be dry as the UK in February does not have the greatest climate.

The set-up they have there is a track laid out like a winding road which is mostly second and third gear, two seperate wet low friction areas one with a kick plate, and a low grip dry handling circuit. I was there for the launch of the RS and went out with one of their instructors for a very sideways lap in a .1RS which hopefully they will be doing in the new one two....

Report on Tuesday for you all.

Quick Reply: I get to drive the RS on Monday morning...
