The deviating stitching in Speed Yellow also seems a strange choice.

I know it is personal taste but why not stitching in the exterior colour?!

BTW, I also went back to see the Maritime blue car yesterday and try as I might, could not get a true representation of the color with my little Canon SD940. Here is one that I adjusted in PS which gives some idea (at least on my monitor) but again, the only way to be sure is to spray out a sample or see the car in person.

OMG! You need to adjust your monitor--or buy another one!

One of these days we'll have to get the following all in one shot:

Maritime Blue
Riviera Blue
Mexico Blue
Blue Turquoise

... with a professional photographer, maybe. I could not capture a realistic representation; neither could the dealership. They took dozens of pictures and none of them were even close.

Adriatic is different... here is Riviera, Mexico and Maritime sprayed out a few weeks ago. But again, what you see in photos is not the true color, in my experience. I took the trouble to go see all three cars and have never seen them represented accurately in photos. BTW, I was tested for color blindness three weeks ago!!!

Seinfeld has had a ton of awesome blue 911s.

He had the Adriatic 996 GT2, Turqoise 993 TT-S, and Riviera (I think?) 993 C2S.

I agree I have been thinking about one of these 3 cars for a while now, but the Riv in L.A and the mex in Monterrey have a LOT of bling on them ...

the best is the maritime in S.D ... although it does not have PCCB

He had a Mexico blue 993 S, I believe it was the last 993 produced.

Which color did you like the best in person?

I liked Riviera. Despite all the 'washed out' photos and resultant negative opinion, it actually looked very good. Of the three, it is the only one I would seriously consider. The yellow calipers clashed somewhat and the interior was absolutely horrid but the color itself is surprisingly good on a GT3.

The Speed Yellow stitching is an attempt to tie the color of the PCCB brakes to the interior but with the abundant use of Blue too it doesn't work. Either Blue or Yellow by them selves would have worked better on the interior, I think.

The car loaded up with Nav, heated seats makes this a "touring" GT3 which is OK I guess for a person not interested in tracking the car.

The second picture of my car, posted on page 1 of this thread and repeated here, is a good representation of Maritime.

Dan is however correct what we need is a group picture outdoor in some good light of all the non-metallic PtS blues.
