New member, new news saying hello
Hi everyone - at last i am a member - been trying for a while now, but its been difficult (life in United Arab Emirates can sometimes be frustrating...)
Anyhow, wanted to drop a note to say after a long wait and working hard to finally get there, I will be taking delivery of 2010 997 GT3RS and most importantly in a colour I wanted - Lime Green with black (paint to sample). Spec of car is:
PCCB
Club sports package
Passenger 6 point harness (for the thrill seeker wife)
Satnav and ipod connection
Sound package plus
Rear lights clear
Floor mats
Chrono package plus
Might ask for 90 litre tank but not sure.
I raced motorbikes in UK and having hung me boots up I wanted a car that gave me the feeling racing a bike did - knowing what the bike was doing, hearing, feelng, sensing etc. The RS is basically like being in a bike - if that makes sense - your just part of a fantastic experience and in control (hopefully). Plus, I always wanted an RS from a while back.
Simply, July 2010 can't come quick enough.
Look forward to being part of the community

are you doing a euro delivery first? congrats on the car. looking forward to seeing a green one. Is the green you chose the same color as the 997.1 GT3 RS?

Welcome and congrats on the car.
It won't be like a bike, but it is as good as it gets on 4 wheels.
I look forward to some lime green and black pictures!
If it was an option in the US I would order the 90L tank, you can always not completely fill it up right?

The GT3 RS will give you a very close feedback to what a sport bike gives you. If you want even closer feedback, you need to get an Ariel Atom, Scuderia, X-Bow, GT3 Cup.

You mean Signal Green or Lime Green? Below is an RS in Lime. Congrats either way!

I am not sure what the colour is, only that it's the green that you could select with the 997.1rs version - I was gutted when it was not an option, but then happy as a sand boy when PTS came. I'm even having the wing tips painted green!

Lime Green is lighter and more brilliant - RS Green isn't as bright.
RS Green
and Lime Green
Enjoy your new RS and congratulations!
