Sure, until your neighbors keep you up all night partying. Nothing like going 130 down the straight without sleeping the night before!

Monterey Plaza or the Intercontinental "The Clement." Both on the water. Decent rates in the off season.

Yeah - I don't see the point of spending more money just for a place to crash for a night. It's pretty close to the track too.

Well, that's the point I was trying to make above. The last time I stayed at Motel 6 Monterey I didn't "crash for the night." The idiots that kept me and a neighbor up all night finally got arrested, and, surprise, were found to have a large quantity of meth on them. They also gave the Innkeeper a ticket because he had left the office, which I guess is a no no. Moved to the De Anza the next night and actually slept. Given what a track weekend costs, an extra 30 or 40 bucks to ensure you are fresh on the track is cheap insurance.

My wife and I stayed at the Bernardus Lodge last weekend before the Trackmasters event at Laguna. With the third night free promotion it was ~$220 if you're looking for a very nice place. Kept my car in the covered valet area, too, so no door dings.

That sounds nice with the wife, she is very tolerant of your track days

I will be back next Thursday 3/4, see you there
