Default RS's being held 'til March

My dealer just called and said Porsche District Mgr said RS's wouldn't be released until March even tho mine completed production 2 weeks ago. Anyone else here this? Not that it matters ... I got 30" snow sitting in my driveway!

Dealer said my completion date was moved up to March 10th from April. Sounds like they're trying to fill up a ship.

Not trying to "fill" a ship. Boat arriving next week, and another at end of the month.

Calling Mjones.....

Figure of speech. Meant they're probably batching RS production to fill gaps created by underutilized production capacity.

I would be like "you bishes better gimme my mother F'ING RS you little bishes you"!

That is just my line of thinking. Don't really care about what something that has to do with something else from your world; shouldn't effect mine. If it is done get it on the next boat over here, or where ever you are at. Get it smogged like you need to and deliver it to the dealer. I care less about about having x amount of this or that. That does not concern me. I would be seriously pissed if I had to wait a month or two for something that was promised to me.

Sometimes the hold is due to the certification process (DOT/NHTSA) or some minor tweaks are needed - like a warning sticker, smog cert., etc. Happens - this is the US, land of "red tape."

I just fired off an email to my sale guy to ask. Mine completed production more than a week ago. Got the vin but no vessel information. He did warn me while I placed my order that there could be a delay due to EPA and/or the timing of the official US launch.

Crap on the official launch!!! I want mine right now... If I were getting one that is.

Now watch it be something along the lines of some stupid warning sticker that is 3"x3" on the driver's side window warning you about supplemental restraints. That is going to get removed.

Sadly the red tape originates more often in the states and the Germans being ever proficient in making sure everything is just perfect. God bless Porsche!

07 RS were held at port for some DOT or certification reason.

My dealer rep (Stoppie) has not heard a thing and is anticipating delivery sooner than later. Any one else had "official" word??
