I recently purchased a 2007 GT3RS. I've noticed no sound comes from the rear speakers even when faded to the rear only. Question is do the GT3RS cars not have rear speakers???

nope on mine also, no rear speakers, think this is just the way they are ... although there are speaker grills ... id think with a roll cage it be a pita if someone had to do any work on the speakers at the back if they did exist. Maybe also weight saving
lol
Edit: in any event any sound coming from the sound system is killed when the car's boxer 6 is at full song
... Btw congrats the RS. I know u will love it

As I have mentioned here before, I installed the rear speakers on mine (8 ounces each side) and for regular driving this is a very worthy upgrade. The sound system sounds at least 3 times better now! My best genre is a throttle advance though lol.

schmidtwerk currently uses the "prison style smugglers torpedo" to stash his grass so the speaker cut outs will make for a more comfortabe drive for sure :-)

The RS does not come with rear speakers or the wiring for them so you would have to have any speakers you add wired too.

^ Wiring it is, but this is a none issue for a guy who knows these cars. He removed only a few parts on my car, charged me an hour I think and the job was done perfectly. Like I said, the difference in sound is enormous.

RS stands for "real silent".
rear speakers do not come in these light weights![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
you will need the factory speakers from a 997, the factory speaker harness clips and figure how to splice them into the main system of the RS.
Try getting a set out of a wreck perhaps or call suncoast as im told.
