The Leipzig track looks very cool. Has anyone been to one of these Porsche run schools over there? I turn 50 this year. Could be a good place celebrate.

I turn 50 this year too ...

I attended the Nurbugring/Nordschleife school back in '08

Another school you may consider is this one:

I have been to this one many times, and will probably go again this year too!

I was just about to ask if you're going again this year to the BMW school. Hope we get to do all three days on the Nordschleife this year!

I will be in Germany from May 15 to June 17. Planning on attending the PDS in Leipzing, and waiting to hear on available dates for PDS at the Nurburgring or Hockenheim. I am planning on calling PDS in Germany this morning to discuss some options on driving events.

One problem I am running into is that PDS does not allow cars with transit/temporary license plates into their events. And since my GT3 is a ED, it will have temp plates. I will likely have to rent a P-car for the PDS. But I would like to find another event/school that does not have these restrictions, so I can learn more about how to drive my GT3. Any other suggestions for driving schools/events during this time will be appreciated.

BTW this is my belated 50th birthday present to myself.

I asked my dealer to double check with the school on their policy. I thought that would only refer to cars with Dealer transit tags. The ring used to have a similar issue but it was clarified and you can take your ED Porsche on public lapping along with numerous schools held at the track.

Manthey has their Nurburgring track day in July and there is no problem with temp tags there. Porsche Club DE has a track day at Hockenheim also on July 30th.

YUP! ... unless of course we end up on the F1 track again ... I HATED that and would probably not go again if that's the case!

Not even all that shovelling can make up for the new RS, and a summer of track time in der fatherland! But I am happy to see that some karmic balance is sought!

I'd pick Spa or the Nordschleife over Leipzig ...
