Doing it right.
Since I bought my RS in September I've put 5,525 miles on it. 1,101 of those miles have been on track. That's 19.9% track time as a total by mileage. It'd be 20% if I was just a liiiiiiitle bit faster. Not bad considering it's my daily driver. I beat my personal best time at H2R yesterday and I'm really loving the car. These things are just so ridiculously well-sorted out on the track. Why do people buy anything else? I really don't know.

Yes these cars are a blast, I have a 08 GT3 (non RS), I have put about 4,000 track miles int the last 12 months, given proper maintenance these cars are bullet proof.
GT3's are simply great, enjoy,

LOL!! so true. In the same line of reasoning, frequent fill-ups on a pure street car are bad thing, but in a track car / DD, a good sign!

Glad I watched until the Corvette came into view. For a non-track guy, it was cool to see how everyone signaled to pass, great communication. Everyone was playing fair!

since you mentioned personal best (only because you did this) after watching the video (i do not know this track) from listening to the engine at the apex and looking at your track out positions, my guess is that you could be wot at many of those apexes much earlier and there is one corner where is sounds like you could be one gear lower (engine sounds very low in the rpms)
nice video and editing

You're spot on with your advice, thanks. I recognize that I've got a lot of room for improvement in my driving. It doesn't make personal victories taste any less sweet, though. One of these days, when I've got a much less clear idea about what I need to improve upon, I figure I'll bring VR down to show me what's next.
I spend most of H2R in 3rd gear and should definitely be hitting 2nd in the hairpin (turn 10) but I miss that shift as often as I make it, and when I miss it I lose seconds of time. So I really only practice hitting that shift when I'm alone out on the track and I don't have a field of corvettes and lotii maneuvering to pass me. The slog up the hill in 3rd isn't optimal but it's not terrible either.
