A modern supercar is not a true supercar unless it has a carbon fibre monocoque chassis; which means from that initial list only the McLaren Mp4 12-C should be considered.

I would add: Lexus LFA
Aston Martin One-77
Go back to bed, you're up way too early to think straight. Nevermind, I see your english blood trying to influence this.

I personally like the looks of the 599, especially in the really dark silver, or black
wise very wise.
The car is a crazy good deal, $200k for a Ferrari with the Enzo V12. If the 2010 RS becomes difficult to obtain, I'm either adding the R8-V10 or a 599GTB to the garage.
If you want to step up and get the GTO, expect more than double the price of a 07 599GTB, and the waiting list is already decent. The GTO will be a 599 Scuderia/Stradale, and you already have a Carrera GT.

after getting more info on the car, the McLaren is definitely going to be a purchase but probably not until 2011...I told them to put a gold star next to my name as EXTREMELY LIKELY TO PURCHASE. haha...
The Scud is a phenomenal car. Like the GT3 variants, you hear every piece of anything your tires pick up. The suspension, the transmission, the differential and the engine make for a perfect package.
I've got a sneaking suspicion the 458, although capable in its own right, is going to be a different experience, a bit more "insulated". I've got a Scuderia and I'm going to wait for the 458 Scuderia equivelent.
That being said, the transmission is the end of the line for the F1 system. I'm not a big fan of the new dual clutch systems, as you don't get to experience the "violence" of the shifts in the Scuderia's F1, which adds considerably to the driving experience.

Great car no doubt but I'd have a hard time getting over being personally violated every time I brought it in for service. That, and I like (real) manual transmissions for GTs. Not impossible to find but increasingly rare.
If I had your problem I would put a few thousand miles on an F430 Scuderia while I waited for my 458 Italia. Then I would trade in the F250 for the Mclaren.
