The MK2 GT3 system is the same price as the MK1 GT3 system, which did not come with the carbon part. The factory first said it would be included at first. This week, they said that it will not be included. The first carbon piece will be available next week. Then they will release price for it.... I cant complain though. At least the MK2 system does not cost more than the MK1. I might have mentioned this before, but during testing, this system on the MK2 GT3 had 22+ HP gains across the rpm range Vs the 16+ HP gains the MK1 GT3 produced. I will do before and after dynos when installed on the same day.

22+ HP peak gain through the RPM without software.
I'll have and post dyno sheets of before and after dynos to be done on the same day the exhaust is installed. 1-2 weeks later, I will do before and after dynos with Evoms software. What other software do you guys recommend?

correct

btw I did not mean to sound like "yours made 22 and mine made 25 neener neener"

I simply meant that several people said gains in the 20s could not be made without software... and nice to know that not only does the asp one do it but so does the akropovic

No worries. I didn't take it in that way. Those were impressive results for a 996 GT3. Congrats on the incoming RS

Just noticed on your pics, why do you have two differents headers flanges, one cnc'ed with the header's tubing welded in, and the other using the akrapovic cast titanium technology, have they explained this?

Wow...good eye. I didnt even notice. I will ask and find out. I do know that some fitting changes were made from the .1 to the .2, but doubt that it would result in different flanges.

It looks like the header on the left was mounted before because I can see the impression from either a nut or washer. The header on the right must be the newer version. My headers from the 997.1 look like the one you have on the left side of the picture.

Just got a response back. The header one the left, on page one, is for the 3.6 motor, the one on the right is for the 3.8 Slight mistake on their part probably due to me rushing them
I technically got the 1st Akrapovic race system for the MK2 3.8 GT3, which mainly had some fitting changes, like the header flanges. Someone I know in Qatar got the 2nd system. Akrapovic is shipping me the correct header in a couple of days and I'll be sending the other back. Good thing I had not installed it yet; was planning to do so this weekend

gotcha ! you will notice too that the pipes angles are a little more 90° bend for the cnc one the newer is less angled so maybe more flow.

Like PJS, I too had the full custom ASP system on my 6GT3 utilizing the OEM side outlets with similar HP/TQ results. What Charles found was that the stock ecu worked fine vs. my GIAC flashed ecu. Overall the flashed ecu ran fine however, at times seemed to exhibit running hesitation at WOT.
Take a way, maybe be best to run the stock ecu with your new exhaust before reflashing. Have heard good things about the EVOMs IT flash but, no personal experience.

Have seen and heard MD11Skipper's, it is a very nice piece!
Congrads.

Thanks. I will the ECU alone after I install the exhaust for a couple of weeks.
My Porsche dealer has a big tuning department and their own motorsport division and dyno. If I mess with the ECU, I'll probably do something with them to prevent warranty issues. The offer GIAC and something else I think....gotta find out.
