Does anyone have a recommendation for a shipping company that they trust. My situation is that Im moving from florida to hawaii (yeah, I dont get much sympathy) and need to ship over my GT3. Does anyone have a a company that they have used and trust? Thanks for your input.

Move it in a 20" container as part of your household goods.

PASHA is the choice of shipping carrier. Shipping to the islands is usually with Matson Navigational, Ocean Lines but PASAH is Porsche choice.

U4IA4187,

We would be glad to offer you a Rennlist price of $1695 to move your GT3 from FL to CA. Please let us know if we can help you with your transport.

Thanks,
Jim

I did this when I moved back to Scotland (and back to Ca again) it's a "good" way to do it, but expensive! ... if I were to do it again I think I would find a RoRo as I think it's about an order of magnitude cheaper than in a container ...

This may seem odd but Hawaii has a lot of restrictions on cars that are brought over. Check into the guidelines, etc. I have a friend who just moved to Maui and they required that he replace his cracked windshield before shipping the car over. I doubt your car has any of these issues but something to look into before sending your car over. My friend did ship his car with his personal belongings in a huge container as mentioned by "Frank 993 C4S". It was cheaper to gang it all together.

yeah it cost me $20k (each way) to ship Ca<-> Scotland in a single container with my belongings (tax deductable) ... it would have been around $3000 RoRo round trip ... or so I have been led to believe ... ymmv but worth looking into.

Scotland. Markinch is where we are from which is in Fife county. Wish I could get an 80 shilling Tennent.

Had my 2010 GT3 shipped from Chicago to Los Angeles this month by Intercity Lines. I have now used them twice and strongly recommend them. If you want the best Intercity Lines is it. Porsche also uses Intercity to move certain Porsche models from the different ports to dealers.

ME TOO!!! but 80/- does'nt travel that well! ... I'll be back there in a couple of weeks and will raise a glass of tennants 80/- in your honor!

Regards

- Larry

p.s
it was fun being back in Scotand with my '04 GT3, mainly because I still had my Ca plates on the car ... which made for fun blowing through the speed cameras!
but driving on wet or snow covered cobblestone streets in Edinburgh on PS2's is not recommended!
