Maybe this company can change the Stitching color
for the parts that is NOT available from factory with Deviated Stitching.

Maybe, they can take out the original stitching,
and then hand stitched it back using the color your prefer. and preferably still using the original Alcantara/Leather material from the Porsche Factory, that came with the car.
so nothing is changed except the Stitching...
but I don't know whether the leather/alcantara will be stretch back to the original factory condition,
or some wrinkle is expected though...

I read this company's post here and They are also Rennlist SPONSOR:

and this is their direct website:

Steering wheel can be stitched (if specified in leather)...

Gear lever and handbrake - another known issue. Cannot be stitched since the 997.1 GT3s (again, unless specified in leather, which I don't think is possible with the 3s)... Stupid Porsche...

I agree, this is a very interesting thread with great photos. Can you imagine having photos like this from a '73RS today? I am finding I wish I kept a lot more information than I did over the years.

mjones probably will know.
He has not replied to me wondering if I get to keep my yellow RS stripe on my thicker alcantara steering wheel.

If MJones does not know no one knows.

Now I wonder if the bottom will be flat also....
For $1100.00 it should be..

I think that is probably Guards Red and a flash photograph......tends to wash the colour out.
Looks orange to me, the rest of the reds in the pic are red?

Here's the fat wheel (standard GT3). Standard configuration - just thicker. The wheel in the RS production photo is same shape, i.e, not a special flat bottom.

I love to play with the Porsche GT3 car configurator,
and over there I always see several options that confuse me...

There are Thicker Steering Wheel Options...
Does it mean that the standard Alcantara Steering Wheel have standard and Thicker model ?

and how about the Real Leather Steering Wheel like yours,...
Does it come in standard and Thicker size too ?

if they do, is your Real Leather Steering Wheel the standard or the Thicker one ?

and Thanks for the nice picture above.
Real leather / it's the Thicker one too. When I spec'd the car, I optioned for a leather steering wheel, I didn't know there was an option on size.

Bear in mind that GT3s are built in the race shop, but you can debate location with the owner of the car over on 6speedonline if you want. Personally, I could care less if the photos were taken in the factory, a dealership, or the barn where Wendy keeps his potato farming tractor collection. I just like the photos.

Man, that thicker wheel is FAT. Almost cartoonishly so. Not sure I like it at all. Maybe its just distorted by the wide angle lens or something, but in that picture it looks like Blimpy the Michelin Man ought to be driving the car.

The thicker sport wheel (in smooth leather) on the 997.1 was nowhere near that chubby.
