I seem to remember a ways back some threads about a possible black trim option for the RS. Fact or fiction. If there is a black trim option then I want to add PTS. Dealer cannot tell me squat. I am always telling him what's coming from what I read here. Amazing how accurate the info is around these parts.

beautiful combination, but unfortunately this option is NOT available. At least for the 2010 model (That's for sure).

This black might be the only available one, I believe its only a demo car for Porsche testing team...

The black trim is the roll cage! I think this is what u ar refering to? you can have this in sted of the red? I have orderd this in my car which is due in March!

Last I heard, the black trim package for the U.S. still did not include the wheels... go figure.

As per discussions with the Exclusive department in Stuttgart this option is not available in the US as of now.

A deviating black trim package (Mirrors, front spoiler, sideplates, graphics and wheels) can be ordered outside the US when specifically requested by your dealer through Exclusive department.

The non availability of this option in the US is due to US customs regulations which stipulates that all options has to be documented and approved before sale.

PCNA are trying to get this option approved.

A personal letter to PCNA requesting this option would be advisable to speed up the process.

Here's a solution for swapping White/Red to White/Black. Powder coat the wheels, swap out the mirrors for Techquipment Carbon jobs, leave the red intake or swap for standard GT3 intake, which is black, then paint the endplates or leave them red to match logo on rear decklid. Personally I'd leave the endplates and possibly even the intake red then add a set of Red CL bolts to tie it all together.

Just got confirmation on my black trim package for my 2010 RS! This includes:

Exterior mirrors black
19” GT3RS Wheels black
Graphics black
Rear wing side plates black
Front apron air intakes surround
........................................................................ ..................

So going for grey/black with black trim.... Now all I need are the BBS centerlock monoblocks...:-D (Have a week 14 build, so plenty of time)...

My car is locked in anyway, so too late. Others also might want to know the option code or number.

Finally, there is a GT3 RS color combo I would accept without PTS: Gray/Black with Black Trim option and no stripes.
