After hearing everyones dates have moved up, decided to call about mine. It's didn't mov,e still 1/26 production complete date. He told me it was at step 20 whatever that means. I'm not one to track it every step of the process ... so I'll just wait for the call ..."It's here ready to be picked up"

[QUOTE=TRAKCAR;7306786]How do you know when your car is being painted?
How do you guys get a VIN#?
Porsche's inventory system (PPN) uses 20+ codes to identify the status of an order. "PRDPNT" is one of them and it's defined as vehicle in factory paint shop. Your sales guy can look up the status, but I've been told there is a lag in the system. At some point during the production, a vin is assigned. My guy has been updating me. When he saw the vin, he shared it with me. It even shows on Carfax.
