Anyone know of any dealers selling '10 GT3 below MSRP? Because of the economy and weather in the eastern half of the US, are dealers discounting these cars to move them? (I would guess the other Porsche models are not moving)

Rick Mannis, said that they will sell '10 GT3s UNDER msrp if I knew anyone interested. I would contact David Illya for details (310-877-8616). He has been my salesman for about 10 years and is very easy to

First, Porsche sales are actually higher than they projected for this year. That is, the economy is not as hurt as they thought it was going to be. 10' 911s, particularly PDKs, are selling very well. That does not mean that dealers are not dealing. Areas hit hardest by the recession (CA and FL), are where cars are sitting on dealer showrooms the longest.

You should be able to deal on a car from any dealer. The regular GT3 is out of production, so you only get to choose from what is already out there. I got a good discount below MSRP on my low option 10' with it being the last order allocation at my dealer, the last car he had and I specced the order on the car. Most of the cars currently available are in CA or FL and hence this is probably where you can get your best deal. Most are also higher option cars ($130K+ sticker). I saw Porsche of Beverly hills has 5, but all are sticker over $130K. $5K off is not unreasonable on a high optioned/poorly specced car.

It is very different here in Texas as there is only 1 left between our 9 dealers. It is a white car at Boardwalk Porsche. Ruf Autocentre also has a White one that was ordered for one of their customers, but the customer never came to get it. It is a white with sport buckets, full leather and PCM.

Were they given an allocation or another car? When the 4th of the 5 cars my dealer was allocated came in, Porsche sent them an extra car. Allocations tends to mean for an order. What typically happens is dealers get extra cars and not orders. This is not uncommon, especially at the end of the model run. Porsche always builds extra cars before the model switchover to reduce the parts inventory on the floor of the factory. Quite often the dealers don't even know about the extra cars until the truck show up to drop it off.

lots of cars in CA, but many dealer still stubborn and wont deal.
most of those cars are just poorly optioned making the car into a touring car wanna be. get a AMV8 for that purpose, it's much better.

are not the dealer cars that are sitting generally over optioned making below MSRP deals more expensive than what you would order at MSRP if you had the slot?

the one sitting at my local dealer is $150K so even if they knocked $10K off to move it, it is still to much... leather seat backs :-)

There are deals out there. I was offered under MSRP at Walter's Porsche in Riverside, CA. The vehicle had more options than I wanted, so I passed. They had 3 GT3's on the lot at the time. I found a GT3 in another state with less options, the only one on their lot, and I still paid under MSRP. I just did that deal last month. Car arrives tomorrow.

You are correct the car is not on their inventory list online. It is sitting in their showroom and available for sale. I just saw it yesterday.

I think you are going to have a hard time finding one for that price. The only one I know of that cheap was a zero option car that was listed recently on this board. It really was 0 options with just Dest and Gas Guzzler. It was in the $114K range. You might want to also check the used market. If you can find one that was previously titled, you save at least the $1300 Gas Guzzler tax.

And it is still there, although it is now in storage for another day and not on the website. The leather back in white stitching are an $1800 option.

economy is not what it used to be in terms of buyers standpoint. That is the reason most GT3 3.8 were ordered by the dealers and for them the rule-of-thumb is "people want options". How wrong it is for GT3 crowd....

then agin, I see crap loads of RS' with GPS'; WTF!
