If steel brakes were better for racing F1 and LMP1 cars would be running them. If you can afford PCCBs get them, if you can't don't.

Carrera Cups have iron brakes, Supercup has ceramics.

Thats exactly right. The second generation PCCB's are so much more improved vs. the first generation. The rotors are drilled differently on the second gen, I believe in more randomized locations vs. more evenly drilled on the first gen. I was told that the instructors down at the Porsche driving expierence haven't replaced a single set of rotors on their cars equipped with PCCB.
