Default The snow arrived... finally! (GT3 pics)

It's been numbingly cold for the past week up here on the Cumberlands. The snow finally started and I couldn't wait to go out with the GT3! I found a lovely icy spot and had fun with the car and when sanity returned, took a few pics.

We've got more snow on the way and I may be able to get out and take a few more over the next day or so. We'll see. The lens got messed up and the shots are a bit streaky but I guess it adds to the effect ;-)

You sir, have guts to be driving that in the snow. Too bad Porsche in their, er, "wisdom", has decided to put a 12" mono-lug wheel on a car that needs a 295 snow tire, and 295 does not fit on a 12" wheel and is the biggest snow tire made for them. Unless you spring for monolug 11's, you are out of luck.....

Damon, err guts? don't know about that but a degree of insanity for sure! It was great fun though.

The location is pretty much behind my house where we have plenty of run-offs and great flat places to do donuts and I can tell you that the cup tires are perfect for that!!!! All electronics off et viola!

LOL I got caught in some snow last winter randomly on icy streets with snowfall and I had toyo R888's on the car... It's not THAT bad Well yea it was, but still, after being an idiot and burning my tires out during the summer on my daily cars, then going into the winter with almost bald tires I guess I just learned to cope and drive like that LOL.. Now I realize how stupid it was, anyway it's cool to take the car out not far from home and have a little fun, problem is, getting back up the driveway!

What an awesome car and colour combination - great to see it out and about and being enjoyed. A warm 33 degrees C forecast for the weekend over here so airconditioner will get some exercise.....

Thanks fellas! All you folks in Aus... 33C ! Just beautiful. It's colder outside my front door than in your freezer! The other day it was a crisp morning and dry and I could not resist taking my bike out for a short ride... even with handgrip warmers my fingers were frozen and I practically had to peel my frozen **** off the seat! Now you're gong to send me a pic of you guys toughing it out on the beach!

Ha ha .... It really is rough coming to work when the weather is so wonderful, particularly while so many people are still on leave. Between surfing, kiteboarding, kayaking and mountain biking there's always something to do. That said we're never happy as the family and I need to go to the east coast, NZ or Japan to get our snowboarding fix.
