Rated tow capacity of the Cayenne with the Porsche tow package is 7700 pounds.
I have towed the trailer with an M3 in it (around 6500 pounds with the car and other miscellaneous stuff) from Houston to Atlanta and back with now issues at all. But my normal tow distances are short.

I am leaving Saturday for the PBOC Winterfest at Sebring. This is the 9th consecutive year we have attended. The rig tows like a dream but you have to remember no weight distributing hitches allowed on a Trailex aluminum trailer.

I just hope it stops snowing long enough to get me through WV without any problems

I have the same trailer and in addition to its light wt attributes; one can put two full sets of tires, a nitrogen tank and regulator, indicated tools, pit scooter,helmet/HANS and drivier's suit rack; an EZ-UP tent and folding tables and chairs and most importantly; the big beer cooler

Also; the height is such that I can push the fully loaded rig into the garage and close the door if it starts to become an eye sore.

tows like a dream and in actuallity; I must always look back to make sure the thing is still there

I really like it..

You'll want black straps since other colors will get dirty and look like crap over time.

Also, if you want padded axle straps for through-the-wheel applications, then the 40" version works well with our wide wheels.

Cheers,

I agree regarding Mac's, the VersaTie Track system with the wheel nets, excellent.
Give Mac's a call and ask for Jeremy he knows his stuff!

Tough to use a wheel net on a GT3. Not much clearance for your hands to get the net in place.

Also, on a GT3 (at least the 996 GT3), the right rear Rennline chassis tie down (if one uses these) is very close to an oil line. I like the added clearance of the wire hook strap end. I have a set like Gomez just bought (with twisted hooks) and a pair of wire hooks. If the D-ring is really close to the hook up point, you might want a set of direct hook ratchet straps (no strap between the ratchet and the hook).

Tons of options to choose from.

doesn't the tire ride on the track? I wouldn't want my soft slicks sitting on those tracks.
I use sub surface d-rings and tire bonnets, that way the tire sits on a flat surface FWIW

Mooty, am I correct in assuming your talking about the CT-7541 model Trailex with the 75" floor width? Not sure whether our cars would fit the 70" floor width of the CT-7031 model. Both models are apparently 234" long (19.5'). Thanks.

i dont recall the model number as i ended up with a much bigger enclosed trailer. call up trailex and talk to carl. he's very familiar with porsches and will direct you to the right model.

A GT3 will not fit on a small 70" deck. The tires are about 72" wide at the rear. I like the extra room of an 80" deck.
