Default RS Completion Date Moved Up

According to my dealer today, my RS order status is now "PLPROD" (i.e., production planning), and the estimated completion date has been moved up from 2/2 to 1/22. It is so close now, but the wait is killing me!

Grey/Red. I was never given an actual build date, just that it was going to be a January build with an estimated completion date of 2/2.....now 1/22.

Call me when it's finally in "ONVESL" status! That's when it's going to start killing you.

The order form shows the port of entry as NEA. I guess that would be Neah Bay, WA? Do Porsches only show up on the west coast? I'm in Virginia.

If your dealer is on top of things he can track it's movement:

Prod Body
Prod Paint
Mfg - Last Checkpoint Assy (Checkpoint 8)
Mfg - Completed Production

Lastly ONVESL

Usually cars in our area arrive at the port in Baltimore

Congrats on the good news!

I thought this might happen and I am expecting the same news any day now. My car, previously expected build Feb 8, might be on the same boat as yours (Ohio delivery dealer).

Is there a way for customers to track order status or does it have to be done through the dealer?

I doubt it. I just ask my sales guy. I found this explanation of the steps and status codes to help make sense of the various steps.

ACKNWL Order acknowledged by PCNA
ACPORD Order accepted by PCNA
MFGCNF Assigned a Production Number
PLPROD Vehicle is Planned for Production
PROD Vehicle in Production
CMPPRD Vehicle Completed Production
PRDLST Factory Last Checkpoint
IMPINV Vehicle Complete and Invoiced
ONVESL On Vessel
IMPPRT Vehicle at U.S. Port
PDI Vehicle at Charleston PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)
PDIFIN Vehicle Finished PDI
INVSHP Invoiced and Shipped to Dealer
DLRARR Arrived at Dealership

Sure, my Turbo is in pre-production...

Until I order it that is...

Don't know when I will be getting an allocation so who knows when?

Thinking now seriously waiting for the next generation Turbo. At least by then the current Turbo engine with its block will be shored up and in it's second evolution. Who knows maybe they will bring full dry sump back instead of everybody's integrated setup!
