I just took delivery of a pair of new GT2 seats from Suncoast ...

OH MY GOD! ... they are awesome ... at 6'1" and 260# my *** always had a little trouble in the
996 buckets! ... these seats are AWESOME ... really comfortable ... cant wait to install them in the
car!

 

GT2 seats are awesome when I sat in them, still like my original ol' 996 GT3 buckets though, nice and snug hah..

Did you wind up getting this car??

 

Do they still have the stock exhaust parts? If so, then make sure you get those without anything missing; an entire 997 GT3 exhaust retails for about $10K at retail (including headers and cats). If you are worried about the GMG exhaust (although they are highly reputable btw), then have them swap back to stock. Now you can haggle more over the price, or sell the GMG exhaust here or on 6speed.

What about the stock seats, do you get those or are they gone? Either way you have better, more expensive, more desirable, and more correct (or proper) seats for a GT3. Besides, they are OEM (original equipment MANUFACTURER) parts, so should not be a CPO problem. Just like putting on Tequipment parts.

 

I'm 6'2". And I could wear a helmet with the stock 997.1 seats. But when I sat in the GT2 seats, my head felt awfully close to the roof. So close that I was afraid I'd never get a helmet on.

 

I went to the dealer today knowing that they had sold that GT3 with the GT2 carbon seats. They had it on the lot, and I probably missed out. It was a great looking car, and I should have made a move on it earlier. But....it was the first one that I had really looked at with intention to buy. Oh well.

However, they did have another white GT3 that I got to drive. Not quite as much car as the other, and they want the same kind of $. So...I am not really sold.

The good news is that I decided today that I am going to follow through w/ a GT3 purchase. The test drive today sold me. Wow.

I am in the market for an 07 GT3 or RS...low mileage preferred. If anyone is selling, let me know. Artic would be my first choice in color.

Yeah I just bought the seats from Suncoast, they arrived on Thursday! ... but I am interested in an '10 ... so I will probably be selling them ... maybe for around 5-5.5k ... since they cost me 6.5k and they are less than 3 days old!

someone gets a 1-1.5k savings on new seats!

The '10 I am looking at has the P03 option, which is one of the reasons I
am interested in it ...

if I do end up buying it ... I'll let you know, since I just bought the seats new and got them last thu, I would be selling them for around 5500 ... since I spent 6485!
