Default Help for newbie

Hello everyone,

I’m lurker from Croatia on track to first Porsche. It is up to local dealer weather my first Porsche will be “plain” GT3 or GT3 RS. My first choice is of course RS but I will take “regular” GT3 if my dealer fails to get allocation for RS. Configuration is more or less done and it is in line with “less is more” logic. My RS will not be a daily drive so I don’t need anything special except lifting system, 6 point belt for passenger, cruise control and few small items. I was considering PCCB for a while but decided not to take it due to high cost of replacement disks and the fact that standard brakes seam to work excellent.

However, there is one puzzle remaining. I’m 195 cm tall (6.5?) and I consider absolutely crucial to have as close to perfect driving position as possible. My question is: which seat would fit my height better, regular RS seat (GT2) or lightweight bucket seat (Carrera GT).

Thanks for reading and helping …

Ivice aka Pero - bok iz Zagreba!
I will take delivery of a GT3 in February - so great to see more people from Croatia here!
I wanted to send you a pm but it does not work - so I am a bit off topic here.
In any case - be careful with the P02 seats as they are pretty tight around the shoulders.
I have ordered P03 also for easier access to the rear, as with the P02 you pretty much cannot use it at all.
Best,
wurlie
p.s. javi se na pm ako hoces!

If the lightweight seats are the same as in the GT2, they won't work if you plan to use a helmet. I'm 6'2", and when I treid those seats, my head was too close to the roof to get a helmet in.

sws1, I think stock seat in RS is what you called GT2 seat. I'm considering Carrera GT seat which should get me lower. It is important as I plan to use my RS on track.

I was referring to the carbon fiber seats that came in the GT2. Don't fold back, but they do fold foward. Non-height adjustable.
The ones the Suncoast sells for $6k.
I'm not positive is those are the same as what come in my car.
