Get a portable jump starter and locate fusebox driver side by dead pedal pull out cover and pull the brass thingie out attach one jumper to that and other to some ground like the door lock and and press trunk release. Done deal. Mike

Leif997,
I did the EXACT same think last week when we sent my ecu to EVOMS.
Disconnected the battery, removed ECU and my friend closed the trunk...
I jumped it with another car through the fuse box and got power to open the trunk. (I did this after I reinstalled the newly flashed ECU).
I also thought it would not work at first, but you are using a secondary power source so it does not matter if the battery is plugged or not.

EVOMS stated 18 HP with all my other mods (Straight pipes, Plenum, CAI)
Its hard to tell/feel HP increases of les than 25-50 for me.
The car does feel a bit more responsive and I it got some low end torque back that i lost when i went to straight pipes.

The is an emergency hood release cable accessable via the right door under the right fender. Open the right door wide, then just above the door hinge, reach under the right fender. There is a stainless steel cable. Pull it, the hood will pop right open. 2 second fix...
