Default Road Trip across America 706 mi today

Departed Illinois this AM passed thru Missouri ending in Yukon, OK.
Total seat time today 10.39. Av speed seems low however it is so difficult to regain the average after loosing it thru construction, traffic, or city streets...most of OK was 80 on the toll road

Lots of octane choices refueling in Missouri, but no 93.
Radiator screens seem to be effective, but how do you get to any debris that may get thru?

Passed 4,000 mi today, checked the oil, still full bars

Since departing Birmingham I have not experienced temps above 39° ugh...
Refueling in Missouri I was going to squeegee the front windshield, but the squeegee was cast in a block of ice...oh well

A couple of more days to go, and they could prove to be very interesting, rain, snow, wind gusts to 40 mph... I'll see real soon.....

After all the seat time so far, do you still prefer the new sport seats over the adaptive sports you had before?

Be safe!

Sweet! Keep the pictures coming! Per the note above, we have snow hitting low elevation mountains in Tucson tonight, so there is a big front coming along... be flexible with your plans as necessary to keep your drive a safe one.

If you have the stock MPSC tires on, don´t worry about falling temperatures. I once did a crazy trip to the mountains in -10 C because I thought it would be warmer up there due to an inversion (basically I listened to the weather forecast).

I regularly use the car once a week to maintain it over the winter and as long as I watch out for black ice, there is no problem.

The tires are ok on any sort of dry, damp or wet surface. Basically the only thing I wouldn´t want to go through is a tall layer of wet fresh snow. I am not saying that MPSC is a winter tire, but it´s round, black and rubbery nonetheless.

Make sure to post a photo when you throw the chains on her going over the Rockies. I'm sure that would be a first.

Mjones, I hear that those temps are very dangerous. I suggest you make a 180 right now and head for Sebring where is is still summer 80+ today with 80% himidety :-)

I am driving to Buffalo and back next week myself, but not in the GT3 unfortunately!

I Love travelling by cars, you feel free rather than by other transport method.

Keep us update,
Good Luck and enjoy your trip.

Yikes! And I thought having 3 octane choices (87/89/91) was one too many already

They call 91-octane "premium" gas in Missouri? I guess we have it good here.

Great roadtrip and thanks for sharing the pics!
