Default Uneven brake wear.

I finished my 6th DE event in my RS and noticed that the driver side rear pad was totally worn. I was lucky to catch this during the tire change, didn't notice while on the track.
In fact, the pad was completely gone and noticed that the ceramic rotor was slightly scratched. The fronts had plenty of pad left. Anyone venture to illuminate me on the probable causes of why one rear pad would completely wear out?

Whenever I get into my car there are two buttons that I automatically hit, the Shark pypass and the TC. That is a little puzzling to me.

Are you running the rear brake cooling ducts?

Standard Brake Pad with I-no. PCCB.
Good all-round characteristics, even for sporty driving. Good fading stability, e.g. for driving over mountain passes. Only suitable for certain race tracks. Higher pad wear compared with the pad for race track use at very high operating temperatures.

^Interesting and good info; but that does not explain the one-sided wear complained of..

Russo - yours is the mkII - TC once off stays off, right? Does your car show greater tire wear on one side as well? Lightning, at NJMP, for example is harder on one side of the car..

He said his RS so it's not a MKII.

The brake wear indicators are not hooked up, it was recommended to take them off due to the high temps and the possibility of melting them during DE events.

Your 6th event in an 07/08... I'm sorry I don't know your history, but did you buy the car new, or was it someone else's first? If you did buy it used, do you know the history of the car? Do you know the prior owner, could you ask them questions?

Is the other rear brake pad worn somewhat/significantly/not at all? You said the fronts had "plenty" left - how much is plenty, 30%, 50%, 80%?

How many track DAYS did you get?
I did 5 days on mine and the R pads are at 30% so they got replaced...I leave the TC on, the wear is even so I can not blame TC for the short life of the pads.
The sensors are not removed (peace of mind) and they did not burn.
Fronts have 60 % or so
Cooling ducts installed after 3 track days.
I run faster in the RS vs my 964 track designated vehicle so I break harder and think that 5-6 track days are OK on the R pads...How many days do people get on the rear pads???
