I'd say put fresh pads on it, flush the fluid and check the system while you are down there doing that and then keep a close eye on it. If these pads came on the car used then there are just too many variables.

Driver side rear. Replaced all pads and replaced the brake fluid. Will definitely keep an eye on this.

Could it be a PSM problem (i.e.selective braking by the computer)?
Possibly a defective pad on that side? The pad sounds like it was totally gone in your description. Could it have completely crumbled away (still would have to be defective)?
Dunno,....weird.

It is not abnormal My 3 would do the same thing. It's a combination of things that can cause unequal stress on the rear pads. 1) your driving stile like trail braking one tire is turning more than the other 2) the track again one tire doing more work, 3) an LSD issue tire spinning and TC kicking in, 4) TC left on and doing more work on one side vs other. you should be getting in the wheel well after every run and keeping an eye on the pads and rotors. you can swap the rear pads but it a Pain in the A and you have to replace the bolts when you do so its Life in the fast lane my friend.
