I guess most people will suggest you to get something else but not me, I think the California is a beautiful car and sounds great too. I have not driven one but that and the upcoming Mercedes Gullwing are something I would look into if I am in the market. Especially if you already have the 997.1 RS, while I am sure the 997.2 RS is better but if it was me, I would want something different.

My thought exactly - I think the Cali is around 3,800 pounds! More of a GT than is any GT3 variant (though I'm sure it's excellent in its own way).

Dollar for dollar, 996 GT3.

Don't forget the maintenance bill on the Modena and Stradale, affordable entry price, not so much to keep them up and running.

The best Ferrari deal is the F430 by a mile. Unfortunately, not that many good drivers, and not many properly tuned F430 out there. Just a set of new spring/shocks, proper wheels/tires, alignment, and not even the 20010 GT3 RS can get close.

I'm sure Ferrari will give a discount off this CA.

Have you ever seen this done by an RS driver? No.

The only close "F Car" comparison to the new RS is the Scud or wait for the 450.

When are you coming to Baltimore with your RS?
You forgot to mention "dumbass".

Looks like I've opened up a can of worms. I have a 2007 997 RS and a 2004 GT3. Maybe it's time for something different. I usually buy cars because I like them and they may appreciate in value (not depreciate) over time. Ferraris may, or may not, gain in value. A 250 GTO would be fine... if I could pick one up at MSRP in the '60s.

I think you should definitely be looking at Ferrari for your next purchase. Actually I was wondering why you'd even be considering a '10 rs. Don't you already have a 6gt3 and 7gt3rs? Another rs is too similar to what you already have. Your collection is starting to border on, dare I say it, boring. Even with this level of equipment. Buy something different for a different driving experience. Time to step out of the box. Go test drive some Ferraris. Happy shopping!

Agreed lol... Just was at Ferrari of Long Island, saw a California and was meh, then the red stradale next to it with matte black wheels, my jaw dropped and pants got tighter... Take the hint?

I would certainly replace the 997 GT3 with an MK2, personally. That said, Ferraris don't do much for me, maybe a Lotus, or something else...
