Default Mesh from Cup car?

Yesterday I bought a beautiful, meteor grey 997GT3 MK1 with only 2.000 miles to replace my red 996GT3.

To avoid damage at the radiators I intend to install the three meshes. I know they are available from Carneval and Cargraphic, but there are also genuine Cup car parts that seem to fit perfectly.

The Cup part numbers are:

997.505.323.90 left
997.505.321.90 middle
997.505.324.90 right

Has somebody installed these parts and knows the price for them?

Regards
Wolfgang

Congrats on the new car.

I know they are on the FVD.us website. That is where I got them installed. I think they are about $500 + install. If you search the threads you will find do-it-yourself instructions with Homke depot wire, but I found that not strong enough.

Since the screens are available for the RS, you dealer will be able to get it for you. They are not motor sport parts.

Well, 500$ is not really a bargain for some chicken mesh

I think I'll order the Cargraphics parts for 250$. I only thought that the cup pieces may be priced more realisticly....

Rediculous expensive, I agree, but I got tired of replacing the cheap stuff.

This is what I got after the thinner cheaper stuff. The '09 has a little bump sticking out to make them sturdier I think.
The cheaper stuff was completely torn and dented and the paint came off. These are powder coated black and they stay nice and black. I must admit that I had a small dent in the left front one the first weekend but that was 10 or so events ago and no other dents, still looks good and strong.

FVD sell them as mentioned. They also sell cheaper versions.

Pesonally, i bought the CUP versions for their quailty, fit/finish and being factory parts. Everything on my RS has a porsche part number more less.

installation consists of removing front bumper, snapping in the two outer pieces and then sandwiching the center screen once you are ready to install bumper back on.

I had to remove my center trim piece in the front middle bumper opening.
The center screen thickness wouldnt allow the trim part back on without either triming screen or bumper trim. i didnt want to modify anything so i simply left the trim off.

fairly simple wih no cutting or hardware needed.

just snap into place an go!

+1 Even if they take a hit, they don't break and you can straighten them out like new.
