Moving in to a new house in a few weeks. The driveway is angled up, and to make matters worse, the road is sloaped so that rain runs along the curb.
I was able to successfully get the car into the driveway without scraping but it required hugging the curb, then taking a 90 degree turn. Unfortunately, it's alot harder to do that on the way out. I tried it once and left a 3 foot black streak on the driveway. Furthermore, I can't always guarantee there won't be another car parked on the street in such a way that I can't take the approach the way I want.
Given the slope in the road, I'm not even sure relaying the end of the driveway is an option. Any innovative ideas that people have done?
(Yes - I've done the searching. Just looking to see if anyone found any really cool ideas.)

One of my customers had a steel plate fabbed up in a somewhat triangular shape to go over the dip at the edge of his driveway. Since it was open on the sides water could still run under and around and didn't create any drainage issues.
Neighbors might not care for it but it's beter than boards at the end of the drive.

possible solution is to park one of your cars in the spot that is critical that no one parks in
thus you just move the car, get the gt3 out, put the car back there so no one parks there
i do the above
at my previous house (small town in NJ) i had my driveway widened and when the guys came to do it, i was there, paid some cash on the side and had the sidewalk sloped to make it easier to get up and also very critical was to get the curbing at the edges of the driveway as low as possible (thus the 80 degree attack would not scrape the rear of the car)
when i bought the gt3, i actually factored in a driveway redo as part of the car's price - crazy

I have a similar problem. Gotta get it right or scrape. With a new car coming soon with a lower front lip I have been lookning at this. May or may not work depending upon the type of curbing.

I just put down boards. I was worried that the neighbors would hate them, but apparently not. One of the boards was dislodged recently in a heavy rainstorm and one of my neighbors helpfully put it back in the right spot for me.
My driveway is so bad that the front lift wouldn't help. Without the boards I don't have enough clearance in the rear either.

Don't you guys know it's a buyer's market out there?? I'm sure you can all find nice houses with nice friendly GT driveways. Maybe even find one with a 5 car garage and a nice big kitchen for the little woman!! Or a one with a hot tub for the girlfriend when the wife leaves you.

I had a house like that before. At the time I had a 85 Carrera and if done just right I could get the car out without scraping. Then the city re did the streets and I could no longer get it out without scraping. I called the city and they came out and filled the gap between the street and gutter to help level it and had a 2" relief channel in it for the water. This helped but wasn't perfect. I would not buy that house today with the GT3.

Before entering the drive way,get out of the car take your shoes off and place them at the edge of the drive way.
actually i like the simple and cost effective idea of placing wooden placks, my recovery guy does it all the time with just about any car you can name.im sure your driveway is not steeper than that of the recovery trucks bay when lowered.
