I don't think the fire extinguisher is compatible with the sports seats which are standard on the RS.

No question about it: more power and torque, more rpm headroom. Just update the suspension to match. Much cheaper "round trip" to do the kit, then pull it and sell it and sell the car. Not to mention the "standing start" cost basis of an '07 GT3 is $85K vs $135K+ for the RS ... : ) ... does that Sharkwerks 3.9 go in a 996 GT3? ...

I think the RS is going to be great fun, but a lot to risk on the track plus Porsche no doubt going "your problem" with RMS "spotting" problem unless you commute in the thing and rack up the miles (which will cost you more in depreciation than paying someone to throw in the 996 Turbo/GT3 seal ... aargh!)

Seriously, it makes the 997 GT2 and Audi R8 V10 look affordable.

I see that someone mentions the RMS leaking. Its caused by letting the car sit? Is there another forum on this? Why wouldn't it be covered under warranty no matter how much its driven?!?

I post whatever relevant docs I get to this page:

http://www.gt3rsregistry.com/docs/docs.htm

The GT3 2010 order guide is on there.
There's also a GT3 RS mkII order guide in German.

If someone has a USA GT3 RS mkII order guide, please send it to me, and I'll add it.

A $340 value, but an additional value, nonetheless!

I could see where you can say that. Though I'm still lurking-at doing a used 6GT3 with the 3.9 conversion with new headers, by-pass, exhaust, intake, Y-pipe and LWFW. Of course since I will be looking at a car with around 25k miles on it; will be getting the bottom end rebuilt complete with those heavy duty head studs for the top half.

Like I said in other post I want to do this first but my woman wants me to get a new turbo from the factory. This is why Ive tried to take a visit by Sharwerks to show her some of the cars over there. She is a better driver than me and believe it or not a better driver than most of us here. Want to get her turned on to tracking her own Porsche. All I need is for her to take a ride in a modded GT3 with a by-pass and I know it will be over.
