great comments so far - thanks all. a few clarifying questions:
not to be a smart ***, but i'm not looking for the car of my dreams or the deal of my dreams - i'm really looking for my next porsche. money's not really a key issue . of course, it's relevant - i'm no rockefeller here
but the wife gets a new car next month too so i've got some chips in the bank.
no, spouse will not be driving it. after 14 years, she sticks to her car. we don't have a rule but she does "drive by touch" sometimes which suits her SUV better than my pcar .
and yes, i know the GT3 board will have a bias toward a GT3. that's cool. i really am looking for info /perceptions / thoughts that i may not have explored.
