2007 PORSCHE GT3 RS Orange
Fully equipped for road and track. All work on car done by Foreign Affairs and Orbit Racing in Florida. You can call Bob Varella at Foreign Affairs 954-746-0488 and Rodger Hawley of Orbit Racing 561-840-2109 to check out me, Boyd Bradfield, or car. They are the only ones that have worked on this car since new. I have decided to sell this car ready to go instead of taking it back to stock. Everything was done right it has the factory RS Carbon Seats the proper roll bare, Rennline Pedals and Floor Boards, Schroth Harness, etc. This car has never been driven in anger and neve off track. I have really babied this car. The only damage is a hairline scratch that I decided not to repair since I was afraied the the new owner would be affraid that the car sustained more damage than it did.
Orignial Equipment: Black Leather Seats, inluded - PCM 2.1 - Bi-Xenon Headlamps - Cermic Breaks - Chrono Packag Plus - Floor mat (Drivers Missing)
MSRP $140,960.00 plus around $25,000.00 in extras. I have over $165,000.00 in this car and this is the best way for you to buy one ready to drive, nothing needed. List of stuff on Ebay Item number: 290327004446
Hoping it brings north of $140,000.00 but will need someone the appreciates how the car is set up. Asking $150,000.00 but reserve is less and I will sell it. Let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.
Thanks!
Boyd

Interesting that interest in the RS has been a little slow. There is now one bid and eighteen watchers. I have had four calls so maybe not too bad since there is so much time left on the auction. Hope I find a buyer that really appreciates the way this car is set up and that will enjoy it.

I think the big problem is that $140K will put a patient person into a well-specced 2010 GT3 and there's no shortage of open builds available from dealers. My local dealer's got an August build at MSRP looking for a buyer and the used market has to compete with that.
The RS wins in rarity and heritage but the new cars have some compelling changes. I think that RS prices are going to necessarily fall to reach equilibrium with what people can buy new today.

Current RS no longer getting MSRP. 3.8 worth more to buyers than wider hips; and soon new RS arrives...
PS: I'm in the market for a 997 RS, but like the previous post said so well, I may just skip and get a new or used 997.2 GT3, as the real reason I wanted the 997.1 RS has been addressed with the 2010 cars -- no sunroof.

To elaborate on your car, what do you have for exhaust?
Did you have the Cats removed, and keep the factory mufflers? Or did you keep the cats and remove a set of mufflers?

Removed the set of mufflers that are in the wheel wells and used the Cup part the bypasses this so it is very clean and no big deal to put it back to stock.
My thinking is that someone can buy an RS ready to go at or below MSRP with over $20,000.00 in all the right stuff. Kinda like buying on for $20k under MSRP?
Thanks!

Interest is picking up. Have had several calls and it sounds like there are drivers that appreciate the car being ready to go since many want a car to drive. Will be interesting to see what the rest of the week brings.
Thanks!

I am in full agreement with Harold, with the wider hips and the trackable options already included. I also chose the RS option and have not regretted it in the least. As a matter of fact, I have driven the car about 3.5 k miles since taking possession 8 wks ago. Don't ask where I have been, because my answer is, nowhere in particular.

The RS is sexy hott + exclusive, and has a couple of nice features if you plan on doing competition with the car....
The RS following is almost cult like.
so even if it dosnt have the newer 3.8 etc... is still grabs our attention like a deer caught in the headlights....
When Porsche offers a wide body in a 2wd platform it will always be a special thing

I agree.
A well optioned car should sell for at least 125k.
The additional track wheels, exhaust, bar and harness on the used market should fetch 10-15k
So for 140k everything included turn key, i would be a happy camper.
For 135k it would be an outright bargin!

i dont know which is more worth keeping. .1RS or .2gt3
but if .2RS is 3.8L then it may be game over.

I think one of each in the stable is the safe bet.
If what I think is going to happen becomes reality, then both are excellent choices.
A long time ago I posted that I thought there would be a significant difference between the next generation GT3 and RS; and price delta to match... we will see in September.
In the meantime, hold onto your Gen1 RS cars. IMO there is not much downside... and if you set aside the car stuff and look at the "latent" inflation being built into the Financial markets then time is on your side.
