The Porsche website shows one on the US spec car?

Are we sure? The US configurator shows it and it didnt on the last RS.

Who knows, maybe it is. The GT3 got rid of the sunroof for the MK2, so to be fair I think the RS should get the rollbar. I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Roll bars are illegal in street cars... at least in CA.

I looked in the CA Vehicle code and did not see anything about roll bars. Where are the rules governing the use of them in street cars? If you can cite the relavant section, that would be even better.

Thanks to Ralph Nader, all interior parts must be well padded. An exposed roll bar will not pass federal requirements.

And they are all padded. By exposed I meant bare metal.

When I build the car on my Porsche Vehicle assistant, the roll bar is not pictured nor is the club sport option available. Cages are not allowed in the U.S. market for some reason.
