Because, it would look like sheit! And, then you would have nothing protecting the painted facia. Not to mention, that you'd lose countless pounds of downforce, which would matter even on the street.

Do a repair,--but don't spend a fortune on it. This is going to happen again for you. Eventually you will learn how low it is. When you have it mastered, then spring for a new one.
