I've seen several threads on the issue of retrofitting rear seatbelts into a 997.1 GT3. Does anyone know whether the mounting points are in all 997.1s or just early (ie 2007MY) ones.

Alternatively, is there an easy way to check for the mounts without tearing anything up? I'm looking at picking up a 997.1 but want to make sure it house the mounts for future flexibility.

they are in all 2007 models afaik. mine is june build so late 07 and it has them. you need to take quite a few trim parts out to lift up the carpet. probably not something you would do when checking out a car. the factory mounting points are filled in and painted over.

 

I have seen my07 and my08 cars fitted with rear belts, a lot of aftermarket bars even fix to these points. No need to check, they'll be in any 997.1 gt3 you pick up... GL
