as a spine surgeon I would strongly recommend the HANS. At road america last weekend, there was a bad incident between 2 cars and one of the drivers dented the roof with his helmet. Without the HANS this would have had a very good chance of creating a catastrophic spine injury. I am convinced the HANS helped significantly in protecting the driver (and much luck!).

Hutchens Hybrid and now a halo seat. It is not worth it to go any other way but safe.
